هذه قائمة الجزر حسب المساحة تضم جميع الجزر في العالم والتي تصل مساحتها إلى أكثر 2,500 كم2 (970 sq mi)، ومجموعة أخرى من الجزر تزيد مساحتها عن 500 كم2 (193 sq mi)، مرتبة ترتيباً تصاعدياً حسب المساحة. للمقارنة، موضح القارات.

ملحوظة: تعتبر أستراليا وبمساحتها البالغة 7,600,000 كم² أكبر من مساحة جرينلاند بثلاث مرات، وهي بذلك أكبر الجزر بالعالم مساحة، ولكن العلماء يعتبرونها جزيرة قارية[1].
جزر أكبر من 250,000 km2 (97,000 sq mi)
تعتبر الجزيرة هي أي كتلة من اليابسة تكون محاطة تماما بالماء، بعض التعريفات استثنت الكتل اليابسة الكبيرة نسبياً من أن يُنظر إليها كقارة. فلم يحسم وضع تصنيف أستراليا بالجدول السابق إن كانت قارة أو جزء من قارة أضخم تسمى أسترالاسيا، مما يجعل جرينلاند الجزيرة الأضخم. لذا فالتصنيف في قائمة الجزر سيبدأ بجرينلاند.

The estimate of Latady Island (700 km2) maybe wrong, another source claims it is 3,300 km2.
