Tafenoquine
Tafenoquine تافينوكبن يسمى أيضا WR-238605 أوSB-252263)وهو يكون 8-aminoquinoline دواء تصنعه by GlaxoSmithKline وهو دواء تم تصنيعه ليكون شديد التأثير والفعالية ضد الملاريا بالإضافة الى كونه وقائى لمنع الإصابة .[1][2]

أهم مزايا الدواء الجديد تافينوكين أنه يمتلك أطول فترة نصف العمر لدواء سابق لعلاج الملاريا, وهكذا لا يتطلب الأمر أن يستعمل تكرارا مثل primaquine. مثل primaquine, tafenoquine يسبب haemolysis في أناس G-6-PD deficiency.[1]
ويعد وصف علاج قصير المدى من الدواءdescribeأنه ميزة.[3]
The dose of tafenoquine has not been firmly established, but for the treatment of Plasmodium vivax malaria, a dose of 800 mg over three days has been used.[4]
