ميكلوس هورثي Miklós Horthy Nagybánya (مجرية: Vitéz[1] nagybányai Horthy Miklós; النطق في المجرية: [viteːz nɒɟbaːɲɒi horti mikloːʃ]; German: Nikolaus von Horthy und Nagybánya (و. 18 يونيو 1868 - ت. 9 فبراير 1957) وصي عرش المملكة المجرية من 1 مارس 1920 حتى 15 أكتوبر 1944، خلال السنوات بين الحربين العالميتين الأولى والثانية. كان ميكلوس ضابطا في البحرية النمساوية المجرية، شارك في الحرب العالمية الأولى وكان برتبة مقدم ثم أصبح مع نهاية الحرب برتبة فريق حيث تولى رئاسة أركان القوات البحرية المجرية النمساوية عام 1918.

During the Hungarian Soviet Republic in 1919, the Heroes Square of Budapest was completely covered by red cloth and at the base of the obelisk, a new statue was erected: Marx with a worker and a peasant. The statues of Hungarian national heroes were toppled.[2] The Hungarian national symbols were banned; Hungarian historic monuments were destroyed in the name of internationalism.
