في عام 1918، تأسس الحزب الشيوعي اليوناني (باليونانية: Κομμουνιστικό Κόμμα Ελλάδαςcode: el is deprecated , Kommounistikó Kómma Elládas)، وهو أقدم حزب سياسي يوناني. تأسس في 4 نوفمبر 1918 تحت اسم حزب العمال الاشتراكي اليوناني.

Yannis Kordatos (February 1922-). Expelled from the party on charges of "distorting Marxism".

Thomas Apostolidis (September 1923-). Expelled from the party on charges of "opportunism".
