پوتي
پوتي (بالجورجية: ფოთი [pʰɔtʰi]; Mingrelian: ფუთი; Laz: ჶაში/Faşi or ფაში/Paşi ؛ إنگليزية: Poti) هي مدينة و ميناء في جورجيا, تقع في الساحل الغربي للبحر الأسود في إقليم Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti في غرب البلاد. بُنيت بالقرب من المستعمرة اليونانية القديمة فاسيس واشتقت اسمها منها. أصبحت المدينة ميناء رئيسياً ومركزاً صناعياً منذ مطلع القرن العشرين. وهي المقر والقاعدة البحرية الرئيسية والمقر الرئيسي للبحرية الجورجية.

تقع پوتي على مسافة 312 كيلو متر غرب العاصمة الجورجية تبليسي، في مستنقعات الدلتا التي كونها ريوني، النهر الرئيسي في غرب جورجيا، على مدخل مصب النهر في البحر الأسود. وتقع پوتي على مسافة 2 متر فوق مستوى البحر.
تتمع پوتي بمناخ شبه إستوائي رطب, مع شتاء معتدل و صيف حار. وتصل متوسطات درجات الحرارة سنويا ما بين 14.1 درجة مئوية -2 درجة مئوية في شهر يناير، وتصل في يوليو 22.9 درجة مئوية. وتبلغ نسبة هطول الأمطار السنوية حوالي 1.960 مم.

الإقتصاد
تحتل الخدمات والصناعات الغذائية المرتبة الأولى في إقتصاد مدينة وميناء بوتي. وتبلغ كمية ما يستقبله ميناء بوتي البحري سنويا حوالي 7.7 مليون طن. وكان للسكك الحديدية التي توصل الميناء بمدينة تبليسي أثرا كبيرا لتسهيل حركة النقل والتجارة على عكس ميناء باتومي. [1]

Beka Vacharadze of Georgian Dream was elected mayor through the 2nd round against a candidate of the United National Movement.

A long haul submarine communications cable - Bulgaria–Georgia communications cable - stretching from Varna, Bulgaria across the Black Sea to Poti Georgia was laid during the month of July 2008 onboard the American cable ship CS Tyco Decisive, just a couple of weeks prior to the South Ossetia War.[5] This cable system will be Georgia's first privately owned fiber-optic system for the citizens of Georgia. Instead of paying high prices for internet/TV/phone usage through Turkey, Georgians will now be able to pay much less for their own private high-speed fiber optic cable internet cable system usage.
