This template creates internal links for the See also section of an article.

This template performs the following:

1. If desired, creates a headline for the See also section.
2. Searches for, and creates a link to, an outline of the article subject.
3. Searches for, and creates a link to, a bibliography of the subject.
4. Searches for, and creates a link to, an index of articles related to the subject.
5. If desired, creates links to other related reference articles.
6. Creates a floating link box to related Wikipedia portals.
7. Creates a floating link box to the corresponding Wikipedia book.

 Usage

The complete syntax for this template is:

 Parameters

• |portal1|...|portal25| are up to 25 optional Wikipedia portal base names.
  • |newcol| will create a new column of portal links.
• r1= an optional reference article name (default Outline of {{PAGENAME}} or Outline of the {{PAGENAME}}).
• r2= an optional reference article name (default Bibliography of {{PAGENAME}} or Bibliography of the {{PAGENAME}}).
• r3= an optional reference article name (default Index of {{PAGENAME}}-related articles).
• r4= an optional reference article name.
• r5= an optional reference article name.
• r6= an optional reference article name.
• r7= an optional reference article name.
• r8= an optional reference article name.
• r9= an optional reference article name.
• align= an optional alignment parameter for the floating boxes.
  • align=left
  • align=right (default).
• alt= an optional alternate subject article title.
• width= an optional maximum width parameter in pixels for the Wikipedia portal link box.
  • width=360 (default).
• nobook= an optional blocking parameter for the Wikipedia book link box.
  • nobook=false – show the Wikipedia book link box if the book exists (default).
  • nobook=true – do not show a Wikipedia book link box.
  • nobook=other – show Wikipedia book link box for Book:other if the book exists.
• nohead= an optional headline blocking parameter.
  • nohead=false – show the headline "Additional, more specific, and related topics may be found at:".
  • nohead=true – do not show a headline (default).
  • nohead=other – show the formatted headline other.

 Notes

This template does not display links to Wikipedia pages that do not yet exist. This simplifies maintenance because new links appear instantly when the pages are created.

The See also section of a Wikipedia article may need to be preceded by, and/or terminate with, a {{clear}} template to avoid running into other sections.

 Example

Placing the following Wikitext:

{{satop|Arctic|Canada|Commonwealth realms|Geography|Indigenous peoples of North America|North America}}

at the top of the See also section of the Wikipedia article Canada creates the following:
