دوري أبطال أوروبا 2004-2005 الذي فاز فيه نادي ليفربول الإنجليزي بعد تغلبه على نادي إيه سي ميلان في مباراة تاريخيه انتهى الشوط الأول بتقدم الميلان 3 × صفر سجلها مالديني, كرسبو هدفين ,ولكن في الشوط الثاني ليفربول تمكن من تسجيل ثلاث اهداف في عشر دقائق فقط سجلها كل من جيرارد,سميتشر، الونسو وفي الاشواط الاضافيه تالق حارس ليفربول دوديك ويمنع الميلان من هدفين محقققين 100% ليحتكم الفريقان إلى الركلات الترجيحيه وتنتهي 4×2 لليفربول وأيضا تالق دوديك حارس فريق ليفربول وتصدى لركلتين ليمنح ليفربول اللقب للمره الخامسه في النهائي الذي أقيم على ملعب أتاتورك الأولمبي في أسطنبول في تركيا واشتهرت هذه المباراة باسم ملحمة اسطنبول.
