جسر بروكلن
جسر بروكلين جسر معلق فوق نهر إيست في الولايات المتحدة. يربط هذا الجسر قسمي بروكلين ومنهاتن في مدينة نيويورك. اكتمل العمل في هذا الجسر عام 1883م. ويبلغ طوله 486 مترًا، وقد اعتبر أكبر جسر معلق في العالم في ذلك الوقت. بلغت تكاليفه نحو 15 مليون دولار أمريكي.

وهذا الجسر مُعَلّق بأسلاك حبلية يبلغ سمكها حوالي 40سم. تمتد من أبراج يبلغ ارتفاع كل واحد منها 84 متراً إلى أعمدة الأحجار الضخمة الثقيلة. يحتوي هذا الجسر على 6 مسارات للمرور. وفي عام 1964م، عَدَّت الهيئة القومية لخدمات الحدائق جسر بروكلين معلمًا تاريخيًا قوميًا.
اعتبر جسر بروكلين قديمًا من إحدى عجائب الدنيا السبع، وذلك عند افتتاحه عام 1883م. صممه جون روبلينگ. وعند وفاته، تولى ابنه واشنطن روبلينگ إدارة أعمال بناء الجسر. وقد قام كل من كوربير وأيفز بافتتاح الجسر لحركة المرور.
