براهما سوترا
براهما سوترا ويـُعرف كذلك باسم "ڤيدانتا سوترا" هو كتاب يشرح أحد مذاهب الفلسفة الهندية المسمى مذهب الأفيدانتا ومؤلفه هو "بدارايانا" (حوالي 200 ق.م) ويحتوي الكتاب على حوالي 500 حكمة ، تعلن أولاها الغاية من الكتاب كله ، وهي: "لنفرغ الآن إلى الرغبة في معرفة براهما" أي التفرغ لمعرفة الله ؛ وكادت تمضي بعد ذلك ألف عام ، حين كتب "جودايادا" تعليقا على هذه "السوترات" (أي الحكم) ثم علم "جوفندا" أسرار المذهب ، وهذا بدوره لقَّنها أدي شانكارا ، الذي ألف أشهر ما كتب عن الفيدانتا من شروح ، وكان بما ألف أعظم الفلاسفة الهنود جميعاً.
