الشتات الأرمني

نتج عن الشتات الأرمني تأسيس تجمعات من الأرمن يعيشيون خارج أرمنيا، نجورنو-كاراباخ وJavakhk. يبلغ إجمالي 11,000,000[1], ويوجد منهم 3,150,000 فقط في أرمنيا[2]ومنهم 140,000 في نجرنو-كارابخ[3] وحوالي 120,000 في Javakhk[4]. ويصل عدد الأرمن في الشتات إلى 8,000,000 (حيث أكبر التجمعات الأرمنية في روسيا، الولايات المتحدة، فرنسا، تركيا، لبنان، سوريا). [5] (انظر توزيع السكان حسب البلد). ويعيش خمس أرمن العالم في رومانيا في مواطنهم فيما قبل الحرب العالمية الثانية حتى عشرينيات القرن العشرين والتي تمثل خمسة أو ستة أضعاف أرمنيا الحالية، بما فيها أرمنيا الغربية|المناطق الغربية في تركيا، والجزء الشمالي من إيران، Javakhk|الجزء الجنوبي من جورجيا، ونجورنو كارابخ وNakhijevan في أبخازيا.
